The Benefactor Member Programme: an appealing project that combines great art, good fun and an opportunity to support the MacLarenArtCentre

On Thursday, March 11 at the MacLarenArtCentre, over 140 original works of art will be at the heart of a lively, highly anticipated event: The Benefactor Member Art Exchange.

Now in its 12th year, the MacLaren’s Benefactor Member programme is unique. Here’s how it works: individuals who become Benefactor Members of the gallery through an annual fee of $365 receive a number of benefits. These include a Family Membership, a special Benefactors Evening in September, an invitation to the Benefactor Member Art Exchange, at which they select an original artwork for a one-year loan, and a $300 tax receipt. Junior Benefactor Memberships (for those under forty) include all of the same benefits for $265 with a tax receipt for $200.

The highlight of the Benefactor Member programme is the Art Exchange Evening, which this year features over 140 works generously loaned by professional artists from across the province. For the public and anyone who would like to become a MacLaren Benefactor, there is a free two-week Preview of the art in advance of the Art Exchange Evening. The Preview is at the MacLaren in the Carnegie Room from now until March 11.  View this page to learn more about becoming a MacLaren Benefactor or contact Sheila Delaney, Development Officer, at 705-720-1044 ext. 225; email sheila@maclarenart.com
