Now in its 14th year, the MacLaren’s Benefactor Member programme is unique. Here’s how it works: individuals who become Benefactor Members of the gallery through an annual fee of $365 receive a number of benefits. These include a Family Membership, a special Benefactors Evening in September, an invitation to the Benefactor Member Art Exchange, at which they select an original artwork for a one-year loan, and a $300 tax receipt. Junior Benefactor Memberships (for those under forty) include all of the same benefits for $265 with a tax receipt for $200.
 
The highlight of the Benefactor Member programme is the Art Exchange Evening, (March 22 at 6:00 pm) which features works generously loaned by professional artists from across the province. For the public...
