The MacLaren Art Centre presents a guided tour with Curator Ben Portis of Joanna McEwen's exhibition, Interiors of Place on February 9 at 12:30 pm.
Please join us for a tour of Terminal with the exhibiting artist Kelly Wallace on Sunday, February 12 at 1:00 pm.
Drawing on the considerable musical talents of members of Barrie’s financial services and medical professions, the annual Battle of the Bands at the MacLaren Art Centre has become one of the most celebrated musical events of the year! The night features live music, dancing and delicious cuisine.
Proceeds from the event support the MacLaren Art Centre, the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and the Kempenfelt Rotary Club.
This year’s event feature the musical stylings of The Bailouts, The Coalition, Code Blue, Tres Kool, Bunker, Vital Organs and Threebird.
Tickets $50, on sale February 3 at 10:00 am. (maximum 10 tickets per person)
Please join us on Thursday, March 8 at 7:00 pm for a free public reception to celebrate the opening of our spring exhibitions Good Intentions: Jon Sasaki, Hourglass Continent: Z'otz* Collective, Here + Unknown: Manet Dykes, Siobhan Bryne and Cultural Stories. The Carnegie Room will feature over 125 works of art from the Benefactor Member Art Exchange program.
Dress is casual and light refreshments will be served. The event will end at approximately 9:00 pm, we hope to see you!
